Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive my first copy?

Customers within the US will receive their first issue 4-6 weeks from the order date. Customers from Canada will receive it 5-7 weeks. International Customers will receive their first copy 6-8 weeks after the ship date of the magazine.

When do the issues come out?

Horse Illustrated is published 6 times per year: January/February, March/April (special mega issue), May/June, July/August, September/October (special mega issue), and November/December. Young Rider is published 6 times per year: January/February, March/April, May/June, July/August, September/October, and November/December.

How long does it take to get my issue through the mail?

Since the shipping method used is through USPS First Class, it ideally takes around 5 to 10 business days from the ship date for magazines to be received. However, there are instances, especially when subscribers live outside of the U.S., where it takes almost a month for the magazine to arrive.

Why does it take so long for delivery?

This is to give ample time for the production of each magazine issue, which includes labeling to ensure each issue is sent to the correct subscriber. After it is labeled, the magazines are grouped according to zip codes, then forwarded to the USPS. The USPS delivers it to designated post offices for distribution to subscribers in their area.

How do I know if my subscription is still active?

An active subscription is ensured of a regular receipt of the magazine. In any case of non receipt, customers are to call the hotline – 844-330-6373 in order to check the status of their subscription.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription. However, for paid subscriptions, only the remaining liability is refunded.

How do I know when it's time to renew my subscription?

Renewal notices are sent to subscribers months prior to the expiration of the subscription. The expiration date of the subscription is also indicated in the label. It is recommended that subscribers renew their subscription three months prior to their expiration.

Can I convert my print subscription to a digital subscription?

You cannot convert an existing Print Subscription to Digital Subscription. You need to purchase a separate subscription for digital issues. Or, if you are interested in both, you may purchase a combo of Print + Digital Subscription.

When can I expect a refund if I cancel my subscription?

A request to cancel & process refund is sent to our Accounting Department. Account will notify the Customer Service team of the status of the request. Refund checks are received by subscribers 30-60 days from the date the check was written.

How do I change my address or contact details?

I am not based in US. Can I order a subscription?

Yes, indeed you can. However, International rates will apply exclusive of shipping fees. Appropriate postage fees per title will be applied on top of the Subscription rate.

Can I pay in a currency other than US$?

Yes, as long as the amount is equivalent to that of the US currency price.

How do you acknowledge receipt of my order?

For Online Orders, a confirmation email indicating the order ID will be sent to subscribers.

For Phone Orders, Customer Service team will provide subscribers with their customer number and order number as confirmation at the time of the call. Upon request of subscriber, such information can also be sent to their emails or to their fax numbers.

For Inserts sent, subscribers are recommended to contact customer service 2 to 3 weeks after sending them to check if we got it. They can also opt to wait for either their first issue or the bill whichever comes first.

What is Auto Renewal?

Through the Auto Renewal feature you to continue to receive your magazine subscriptions. This means we automatically renew your subscription right before it expires. Before each renewal, you will receive an email 10 days prior to the expiry of the subscription stating the renewal rate/term then in effect.

How do I turn off Auto Renewal?

You can cancel auto renewal at anytime by visiting the ‘My Account’ section on our website or sending an email at customerservice@egmediamags.com . The auto renewal and cancellation of the same is available only for annual magazine subscriptions and not on single issues or old issues.

Will I be notified of upcoming renewals?

Before each renewal, you will receive an email 10 days prior to the expiry of the subscription stating the renewal rate/term then in effect. We will charge your provided credit card or payment method on file for the amount mentioned in the renewal notice.

If you do not wish to renew or want to cancel your subscription at any time, send us an email at customerservice@egmediamags.com and we will gladly refund the amount for all unfulfilled issues. You can also cancel auto renewal at anytime by visiting the ‘My Account’ section on our website.
