About Tamie Smith

Tamie Smith has many titles: mother, grandmother, and winning 5* eventing rider. Based in Temecula, Calif., out of her Next Level Eventing barn, Tamie became the first American rider in 15 years to win the Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI 5* with her win aboard Mai Baum in 2023. Held the last weekend in April every year, the Kentucky 5* represents the highest level of eventing, with only seven 5* competitions held per year in the entire world.

Tamie has balanced motherhood and family life with a successful eventing career, etching her name among the top American riders. With a knack for mental preparation and for developing difficult horses, Tamie has a wealth of knowledge for aspiring equestrians and eventing fans alike.
