Get to Know Adoptable Horse Angel
Angel is a lovely gray Appaloosa-cross mare who recently came to Kentucky Equine Adoption Center through an animal control case after her owner could no longer care for her. Thankfully, she was not emaciated and has settled in well at the Center alongside her friend, Vicki.
Now in her 20s, Angel is enjoying her golden years and is searching for a peaceful, non-riding home where she can take life at a slower pace. She can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but with patience, trust, and consistency, she continues to come out of her shell. Angel definitely has a bit of “boss mare” energy and enjoys having pasture buddies around.
Angel is barefoot and pasture sound. Like many Appaloosas, she experiences occasional eye flare-ups that have resulted in cataracts in both eyes. These episodes are easily managed with Neo-Poly-Bac ointment, and she remains comfortable with routine care.
Angel would make a wonderful companion horse for someone ready to offer comfort, kindness, and a soft place to land. If you have room in your heart and pasture for a sweet senior mare, Angel would love to spend her retirement surrounded by love and care.
Her adoption fee is $500.
