If you love that special “complicated” type of horse and want to develop your own horsemanship, Jimmy needs you as much as you need him. We hope that you will give him a chance.
They say that it is the toughest horses that make us better. Are you the type of horse lover who thrives on that feeling of having a special connection, a breakthrough or a “secret language” with your horse? Do you love a challenge and enjoy solving the riddle of how to communicate with a horse? Well, if you said yes, please meet Jimmy Lloyd.
Jimmy is a different kind of guy, but not mean at all. He’s not necessarily even scared. He just demands a close and trusted connection with humans before he’ll trust them to be the leader. This home absolutely does exist and we know there are adopters out there who will appreciate and celebrate that feeling of accomplishment that comes from befriending this special little gelding.
Jimmy is an excellent pasture pal for other horses. He doesn’t mind being groomed. He’s always open to learning new things as long as you have the knowledge to teach him. If you love groundwork training, maybe the two of you could help each other grow.
Jimmy has recently developed early signs of degenerative suspensory ligament desmitis (DSLD). For this reason he will need to go to a home with relatively flat and even pastures. His adopter will need to be willing to provide daily Equioxx and supplement Vitamin E as needed.
Jimmy is located in Greenbrier County, WV.
