Get to Know Cowboy

There’s a saying about cowboys: “Cowboy is a breed, tougher than nails and strong as steel, and cowboys are always gentlemen!” That single saying probably describes our Cowboy better than any we could have concocted. This Cowboy is an 18-year-old Paint/Stock Horse-type gelding, who has pretty much – done that and been there. His sturdy, stocky frame has carried grandkids and adults on countless miles of trails and through an infinite number of pastures.

Today, his knees are swollen and arthritic, but he moves easily and casually. Upon intake, we did start him on a daily regimen of Equioxx, which can easily be continued, as needed, by his adopter. While his days of heavy packing are likely over, if you’re looking for a trustworthy, lead-line stroll with a grandchild aboard, call us about Cowboy, he’s a tough breed indeed, and one helluva nice guy who could be your next #Right Horse. Cowboy will be seen by the farrier this week, and once completed, more photos and videos will be uploaded.
