Adoptable Horse: Neptune, 18-year-old 15hh pinto mare
Organization: West Virginia Horse Network, Elkview, West Virginia

Get to Know Neptune

Neptune is an easy to handle mare who appears to have been trained at some point in her past. She is flashy and healthy. Her current foster has found her to be trustworthy and willing under saddle. She does great in a pasture setting and has really taken to an older gelding at the facility where she is kept. Neptune has a great deal of potential.

Right now we think she’d be best suited for someone at an intermediate skill level or an advanced beginner with a trainer. When doing her float recently our vet discovered Neptune may have experienced some dental trauma at some point in the past. She may do best in a hackamore but can be ridden in a traditional bit. Neptune participated in a horsemanship clinic and Fun Show recently and did amazing!!
