Adoptable Horse: Rex, a 12-year-old 14.1hh Quarter Horse gelding Organization: Wild at Heart Horse Rescue, Lancaster, Calif.
While Rex has had some bad experiences in his past, he has been able to work past them. When he first arrived, he was impossible to catch. But now after some tender, loving care, we have found out that he’s just a big ole love bug! He is arena- and trail-trained and just waiting for a confident horse person to fall in love with this diamond in the rough. Once you create a bond with this guy, he will do anything for you. He halters and leads calmly, stands for the vet and farrier, and loads in the trailer. He is up to date on everything.Photo courtesy Wild at Heart Horse Rescue
