Have you tried The Search by Lori Hayes for women, or The Horse Club series for girls and horse-loving adults by Lisa Morgan: The Christmas Horse, Sharing Hearts, Mystery Horse, and Running Wild? I bought them on Amazon as print and ebook. Loved them.

I recommend the Shade Break Farm book. I just read the first book. It is short, but the next book is supposed to be out by the end of the month. Even though I’m an adult and it’s definitely geared towards kids, I can’t wait!

Must read: Heartland series by Lauren Brooke. This series has been adapted into an outstanding Canadian TV series which aired in U.S. on the UP channel. Past seasons available on DVD.

You should also try the Bittersweet Farm series by Barbara Morgenroth. I just re-read all of the first 12 books so that I could read the new 13th.
