I bought 2 foals five years ago. I had to part with them for various reasons so by word of mouth, I gave them away to a good home for free. I loved them with all my heart. I recently learned that my former horse was sold to a girl in New York. I have no contact concerning their futures and I am so heart broken. I don’t know what to do.

My dream horse was a beautifull Haflinger gelding named Strato. We bought him from a haflinger auction. He was beutifull and already very very broke at the age of 3. I didn’t have that horse a month when we noticed some very small strange things with his bacdk end, the way he sway’d and couldn’t run was wierd. We took him to get vet checked, He had Wobblers. I couldn’t keep him because I needed a horse for rideing, my pony wouldn’t beable to hold up and I didn’t want to hurt either of them. I had to part with him, the day he got vet checked was the last day i saw him. He was such a nice horse, he never complained one bit at the vet. When it came time to look for another horse, I just couldn’t bring myself to buy another haflinger, they grow on you, it only took him a month. That was a year ago and i still think about him. I might even make a channel just to remember him by.

I will be reading your website alot. I am struggling to part with my best friend of 28 years. I bought her when she was 3 and now she is 31. The vet tells me she is basically healthy but her teeth are such that I have to make her food a slurry for her to eat it. Our winters are very tough and she continues to lose weight. I know it is time. She has had a wonderful life and given me so much happiness and friendship. Thank you God for bringing her into my life.
