I would love to become a staff member for Circle D. Do you have any contact info for Roy Hungerford?

Thank you!

They had a wonderful grand opening/open house when it first opened, but they’re all business now so I don’t believe they give tours. I heard that some of the horses are exercised in the round pins out front mid morning, but I haven’t driven by to confirm this.

I miss “HollyBear” as she is affectionately known by CMs…and Reginald (Reggie) and Brother- the two half brothers from Ohio- they’re shires 🙂 I remember the day Holly came off the truck from an Amish Farm in Indiana…she was paired with a black Percheron Gelding named Joe…the Amish shaved her forelock- so she had a poof of hair on her head- she was only three or four, just a babe, had a long narrow body and a big ol block head…fortunately, like most drafts, she grew into her head and became a lovely mare.

Thank you Horse Illustrated for this lovely article.

Having gone to Disneyland, as a child and an adult, I’ve always wondered about the horses. This makes me happy to know they are treated very well. Also, about the retiring draft horses: it’s nice to know that they are placed with caring people. They are magnificent animals.
