I’m all for sharing the trails and getting more people involved in keeping them open.

Our bridle paths are being given over to “shared” use, but mixing dogs, horses, and bikes is a wildly dangerous idea. I understand people want to use the trails for non-equestrian use, but city streets, parks, grounds and sidewalks are already available to them; whereas horseman ONLY have the trails. We need to find an equitable answer to the dilemma.

Dogs (that don’t behave around horses) on the same trails as horses? I KNOW that wouldn’t go over well with my trail horse. And bikes can be “scary” too. Even someone jogging/sprinting past from behind a horse will spook them.
