2011 Horse Illustrated Photo Contest Results

For Horse Illustrated’s 35th anniversary, we selected “Celebrate the Horse” as this year’s photo contest theme for all the joy, humor and life lessons this lovable animal has brought to those of us who proudly call ourselves horse-crazy. We received more than 500 entries showing horses at work and at play, under saddle and at liberty, and just being the horses we know and love. This year, professional equine photographer John S. Hockensmith, who has beautifully captured the horse in photographs for several books and publications, including HI, selects the winners.
