Optional Tour Excursion Guests who choose to stay an extra day can opt for an additional excursion to Churchill Downs, as Derby week excitement winds to a fever-pitch. Churchill Downs tours are not available to the general public during Derby week. But Destination Equus guests will receive exclusive access Monday, April 28 for a private tour of the track, in-field, stabling areas and winner’s circle, and a sneak peek at the 2008 Derby contenders in their morning workouts.
