Holiday Ride

Get your winter-time gear on, tack up your horse and add a couple of festive touches. Knot a couple of jingle bells to the saddle ties at the back of your western saddle, or tie a bow of tinsel around your horse’s neck. Then hit the trail with a couple of like-minded friends. If you’re lucky enough to have bridle paths that safely course through a neighborhood, consider an evening ride (weather permitting) that will let you take a horseback tour of the lighted decorations. Who knows? You and your pals might even break into a few choruses of your favorite carols!
