Made them as a Christmas treat for the donkeys and Tia the pony – they went down incredibly well! They were great for hiding Tia’s pills in. Bart the donkey really enjoyed as seen by him constantly sticking his tongue out and licking his lips as he savoured every bite. I’ll certainly make more for special occasions

Made them today and they came out great!
Horses loved them.
I just used extra oats to bind and not flour and they came out great!

If you are worried about flour, just take some dry oatmeal and run it through a food processor… VOILA! instant flour! I do it this way so I don’t have to use processed junk in my horse treats! It works great!

Purina quit making the carrot and oat treats and on Amazon, the seller wanted too shipping so this sounds even better and no preservatives! Thanks for sharing!??

can you give horses flour I was always told that they weren’t able to digest it or is it ok when its in something?

These are easy to make, but I found I had to add a little more oil and molasses to make the mixture hold together.

Amazing treats my 3 drafts and 1 pony all love them, I did however use a little more oil than it said to get them to stick together better!
