My stories take place on a small farm and one of my characters is a horse. I have just began writing a story about Trotter becoming a therapy horse. The info here is very helpful. I hope, when finished, my story will help educate children about the wonders of horses. Thank you.

They were absolutely wonderful to him and he loved it. He thrived under the attention of the kids. He just recently retired to pasture at 32 years old . I highly recommend these programs to anyone who is looking for a soft retirement for a calm horse who has slowed down but is still looking for an easy job.

Required training for a therapy horse. I agree with he given description but at one point I have found a list of criteria including how many logged hours without incident a horse needed to be use or approved for use. thanks in advance for any clear definition you can provide.

We are wondering what to do with him since he cannot compete. We want to donate him or give him to someone. Can he be used as an Equine Therapy horse? He has great potential and we want him to go to someone who will treat him good. We live in Northern Illinois near the Wisconsin border.

I get to work with the horses during school, and volunteer leading or side-walking for the riders. It is wonderful!
