Anna O’Brien, DVM, is currently a large animal ambulatory veterinarian in central Maryland. From miniature horses to zebras at the local zoo, her practice tackles anything equine in nature with a few cows, goats, sheep, pigs, llamas, and alpacas thrown in for good measure. She lacks the time for her own horse at the moment, instead making do with a dog and three cats.
Read some of Dr. O’Brien’s recent columns Is my horse allergic to vaccines? What is safe to feed a horse with Cushing’s Disease? My horse gets hives when she sweats. What can I do?
