Have a horse wormed correctly for tapeworm plus worm egg counts in between. He appears very sick now with veterinary intervention frequently for colic. Now hair loss on face and scabby skin. Well looked after horse. Treated for gastric ulcers with gastro guard, a horse that lives on grass and good hay and sugarbeet so not grain induced. High Eliza test for parasitic burden. Not looking good. Frequent colic, appears stress induced in preparation for competing. Double pyrantel 3 wks ago, no colic after. Not well enough to pramox at present. What do you suggest? This is a family friend who is ultra talented. But insurance money is running out!
