  1. i guess i can say that it has been an interesting article and reading HORSE ILLUSTRATED has made this an everyday stop on days to ”surf the web” i love this site and i love trying to find info.

  2. This is a great web site!! I’m going to be checking in on the exclusives especially every chance I get. Excellent job HorseChannel.com!! I’ll be recommending this to all my friends!

  3. Thank you for the wonderful article about the TRF in the March issue. I own two OTTBs myself and love them to no end. There’s nothing like gaining an ex-racer’s trust and watching them grow into fine companions. I just recently adopted a 6 year old mare from a Thoroughbred adoption agency called New Vocations. We’ve had our rough spots as we try to repair four years of stress from the track, but she’s such a sweet mare. Everyone who meets her instantly falls in love with her pleasant attitude! I highly encourage adopting ex-racers and adopting in general. People don’t realize that there are great animals already out there. You don’t necessarily have to breed to find your best friend.

  4. my comment is, the April issue tells you to go to this page to find out if your a winner in the aura wrangler jeans contest, and for the life of me, I dont see it or see how to get to the names of the winners.

  5. I think is it is really cool thay made a web
just for people that love their horse and just whant to know more about horeses and other things.

  6. I think that it is so cool that we horselovers have a web-site!! I also think it is awesome that it has this much info about horses! THANK YOU!! i also love Horse Illustrated!! It has to be the best horse magazine ever!!!

  7. THERE WAS AN ARTICLE CONCERNING TRANSPORTING HORSES FOR SLAUGHTER INTO MEXICO AFTER THE SLAUGHTER PLANTS IN TEXAS WERE SHUT DOWN. HE ARTICLE STATED THAT TRANSPORTING HORSES FOR SLAUGHTER FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION ACROSS THE TEXAS BORDER WITH MEXICO WAS ILLEGAL. CAN YOU TELL ME WHICH MONTH THIS PUBLICATION WAS IN? i BELEAVE IT WAS AUGUST 2007. CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE THE AUTHOR GOT HIS INFORMATION FROM PLEASE BECAUSE TRUCKS CROSS THE BORDER SEVERAL TIMES A DAY HAULING HORSES SO IF IT IS AGAINST THE LAW, NOBODY IS ENFORCEING IT. MY E-MAIL IS horses4ever6@yahoo.com
    THAK YOU

  8. I’m extremely frustrated! I picked up the November issue at a local store and really liked the Parelli “Horsesonality” article. Now I’m looking for the promised chart on your website and I can’t find it! What gives?

  9. My family owns a small farm. I hear Drafts plow better than tractor. Thanks for the advise. Tinkerbell in the Phantom Stallion series was a draft, too.

  10. Right on this page where it says “Springtime Screensaver” is the link to the screensaver. Or click the photo of the mare and foal.

  11. go to the top of the page where it says entertainment, click on that then youll see the screensavers, then click on that!!

  12. are there any articles about what to look for in a boarding facility and what to ask not only the owner buit the workers, i was recently working for a place that had a person working there with no horse expirence…they tought her how to clean a stall and handle them but she almost put horses together that shouldnt have been, i think there should be some sort of list of questions to ask the workers when finding a place for your horse to live
