Saddle Up for Canadian Trail Ride!

Are you tired of riding the same old trails in your neighborhood? Then consider leaving your horse at home in the hands of a great horse-sitter and heading out for a grand adventure on the back of someone else’s trusty trail horse. The Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies, a non-profit club, has announced their 84th season of taking visitors from around the world on guided horseback riding trips in the Canadian Rockies. As part of the trail riding extravaganza, you’ll get to enjoy the rugged Canadian wilderness and then sit around a campfire at night with your newfound riding buddies while eating hearty ranch fare. Needless to say, you won’t be sleeping in a motel. Lodging each night is inside a teepee. But that just adds to the experience, right?

This summer for $1150 (Canadian), you can join the Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies on the north-eastern slopes of Banff National Park in Western Canada. This year’s ride travels through spectacular wild landscapes, as untouched now as they were more than a thousand years ago when the First Nations traveled within the area. The region is home to a variety of wildlife, all living undisturbed in the stunning mountains, lakes and forests of the area. The photo opportunities are endless. Real cowboys will lead the way along the trail and all riding levels are welcome. For complete information, visit the website at www.trail-rides.ca.
