No body wants to see horses slaughtered–but I would rather see a horse disposed in a humane as possible way than to continue to see horses turned loose in the rural and not so rural places where they are hit by cars, killed by predators, worse yet, starve to death because domestic horses don’t know how to survive on their own

Local Humane Societies are flooded with weak, abused horses that owners are not able to care for due to the economic situation. There is NO market for even Great horses. The last resort used to be to sell it locally to a slaughter house. Their methods were as humane as the beef and chicken processors. Oh, I forgot – most of HSUS are vegans and don’t eat meat. Now they just starve to death in Mississippi and are buried in landfill by the County maint dept. Thanks for screwing that up!!!! Tell your Congressman to vote NO on HR503.
