It makes me SO mad I didnt get to see any of Rachel’s races LIVE and I cried for hours when i heard she was retired. Rachel is my most FAV horse of ALL TIME and not even zenyatta can out beat her in my opinion. Me and Rachel have alot in common and Im proud of it. And what really makes me happy is that she beat that STUPID zenyatta to horse of the Year!! (HAHA zenyataa!!)

I saw Rachel run at the Mother Goose and the Woodward. The crowd at Saratoga went wild when she won. I am a huge fan of hers and Zenyatta is awesome as well. I think they are both the best racing has to offer and hope that both of them stay healthy for 2010. Fillies rule!!!

good article and of course being Californian would loved to see Zenyatta win the title. But for the good of the sport would love to see them run against each other in some race, other than a matched race. When there are other horses in the field,I think it’s more fair.

I think Zenyatta should have won the Eclipse. The field she beat in the Breeders’ Cup was the toughest of any race either ran in and becaue of her come-from-behind style of running, she hads a lot more obstacles to overcome than Rachael.
