I would do some research if you are unaware of the indiscriminate breeding going on. There are many backyard breeders out there that think BREEDING a horse will bring them money when they sell the foal. Those cross bred, poorly bred foals wind up going to auction, being neglected, going to slaughterhouses, etc.

Seems hard to believe that this would make much difference to the horse population.
My stallion is kept in a secure field and has never been a problem. It’s not that difficult.
Good programme though for those who can’t afford to geld and who want to.
