AQHA Announces OnlineStable Service for Youth Equestrians

Earlier this month, the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) announced the launch of OnlineStable.com, a free record-keeping service for riders. The service gives equestrians one online location accessible via computer or mobile device that stores information about their animals and their activities.

OnlineStable is part of an ongoing effort by the AQHA and other equestrian groups to find new ways to get kids and young adults interested in horse activities and to keep them engaged. Along with the American Youth Horse Council, the Certified Horsemanship Association, The United States Pony Clubs and university extension equine specialists, the AQHA created the OnlineStable program specifically for the 10 to 19 age group.

Youth riders in that older age group often have a variety of activities to keep organized. OnlineStable helps them keep track of all the info they need without creating clutter. Users can keep track of their upcoming events, achievements and honors, time spent riding, community service, information about each animal and more. The program can be used to track activities with horses of all breeds, not just Quarter Horses, and even organizes information on other types of livestock for youth who are involved in FFA or 4-H programs.

At the end of each year, users can download and print reports of their activities, providing a yearbook of their time spent with horses. This information can be used when organizing college and scholarship applications.

Additionally, the service can be used to keep track of important information about each horse. The animal profile pages can store identifying photos, nutrition information and healthcare reminders. A section to track expenses for each individual animal is a useful resource for budgeting and resource management.

To learn more about the program, visit OnlineStable.com.
