Ponies and small horses DO NOT eat less that is a myth! I once had a small horse and a big 16.5 hand app.and when I sold the small horse my hay bill was cut nearly more than half! True story!

I agree with most of these, specially #7. In the long run, it is cheaper health wise, if you keep up with deworming and shots, and hoof care. Check into feeding whole oats, rather than commercial feeds.
