41st Annual All American Quarter Horse Congress Underway

Lauded as the big American Quarter Horse show of the year, the 41st annual All American Quarter Horse Congress begins October 6. The event, which runs through October 28 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio, will see more than 275 classes, 16,000 entries and more than 8,500 horses.

The schedule begins with cutting and reining events during the first week, with halter and jumping events added the second week. The popular youth team tournament and youth events will also be held during the second weekend. Amateur and non-pro events as well as roping, barrel racing and pole bending take center stage during the last week of the show. Futurity and stakes, western pleasure and hunter-under-saddle events are held throughout the show.

New to the 2007 Congress are Open, Amateur, Youth as well as Limited Open and Limited Amateur Performance Halter classes; new Masters Weanling Colt/Gelding and Filly Halter classes; and a Masters 2-Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle class.
Admission to the 2007 All American Quarter Horse Congress is based on a per-vehicle fee, regardless of the number of occupants in the vehicle or size of vehicle. A one-time admission is $20 and a whole-show pass (good for unlimited admissions throughout the three weeks) is $70.

The All American Quarter Horse Congress is sponsored annually by the Ohio Quarter Horse Association (OQHA). For more information about the 2007 All American Quarter Horse Congress, visit www.oqha.com.
