Comments on: New pain killer for horses suffering from arthritis gets FDA approval

My mare horse,gets hives when giving bute.
I have to give her antihistamine,with gastrix,so her stomach doesn’t suffer and of course,apple sauce mixture…and then I’ll give her the bute.
My question is:will that new FDA approved pain killer give her hives?

We used this on a 34 year old appaloosa, and it was a miracle – he is moving/feeling so much better than when on bute.Not sure what we do after the fourteen days?

I have been using this product for several months on a 29 year old gelding. It seems to work very well – however the cost is prohibitive. One can only hope that the cost will come down

I think its really interesting, we started our 14 yr old qh on Equioxx. It seems like it helped her alot within 4 hrs.
The Vet is checking with us every day to see if she is improving.

Yay! Hopefully a safer alternative! My arthritic mare could benefit.
