A noble collection of fashion and horses has been gathered at the International Polo Club in Wellington, Fla., and it’s gaining a lot of attention. The International Lusitano Horse Auction and Fashion Showcase provides an eclectic shopping opportunity: Lusitano horses imported here from Brazil and clothing collections from international designers are all for sale. The International Lusitano Horse Auction and Fashion Showcase runs March 5 – 7. A portion of the event’s proceeds benefit the Humans & Horses Research Foundation, which strives to facilitate universal understanding and appreciation of the significant influence of horses on humans (www.horsesandhumans.org).
The horses have been brought to the event from Interagro, Brazil, a city considered by some to be a top Lusitano breeding and export center. Well-known Italian designer Emilio Pucci is headlining the fashion show.
Schedule for the International Lusitano Horse Auction and Fashion Showcase is as follows:
On March 5, attendees were treated to an opening reception and the 2008 Lusitano Collection and Fashion Showcase.
On March 6, interested Lusitano buyers and trainers are test-riding horses and reviewing veterinary exams conducted by an onsite veterinarian.
On March 7, the horses will be sold via auction. The event closes with a night of entertainment featuring more horses and fashion, as well as a fine dining experience.
