Equine Affaire, the nation’s premiere equine exposition and equestrian gathering, will return to the Ohio Expo Center April 12-15. The show’s signature special event, the Pfizer Fantasia, is a musical celebration of the horse that goes beyond a parade of breeds set to music. It will feature a variety of equestrian acts choreographed to musical styles ranging from country to classical to contemporary.
The 2007 Pfizer Fantasia will include many of the same elements proven popular at past shows as well as many new acts. The equine performers who will be gracing this year’s Fantasia will include a plethora of breeds from Miniatures to Paso Finos and from Friesians to drafts. World champion competitor Lynn Palm will share a moving freestyle that will combine elements of dressage and jumping; Allen Pogue will delight the audience with his trick horses, while Eric Martonovich and Alethea Shelton will impress attendees with a high-energy Roman ride and vaulting performance.
Spectators will also enjoy a Grand Prix musical freestyle dressage ride by Pam Goodrich; an award-winning freestyle reining act by Colleen Siadik; and a taste of the Wild West presented by the Kiesner family from Texas. The 2007 Pfizer Fantasia will highlight the brilliance, grace and athleticism of all equines as well as the special connection they share with humans.
The Pfizer Fantasia is presented each year to sold-out crowds, and ticket sales for the 2007 performances are already brisk. You can buy advance tickets and get more information at www.equineaffaire.com.
