Welcome to Horse Illustrated’s weekly installment of the My Right Horse Adoptable Horse of the Week, offered in partnership with The Right Horse. Dude’s First Lady is this week’s adoptable horse. Check back weekly for a new featured horse so you can find your #righthorse.

Horse: Dude’s First Lady, a 16-hand dark bay 4-year-old Thoroughbred
Adoption Organization: New Vocations Racehorse Adoption in Medina, OH

Dude’s First Lady is a class act! At only three, she stepped off the trailer with her head held high, observing her surroundings like a calm, sophisticated, First Lady! “Lady” is a loving girl who is just waiting to blossom into who she is supposed to be! She has great, ground-covering movement, and we can’t wait to see what she can do in her forever home! Lady is lightly started and shows strength and athleticism for an advanced rider. She has a cool, calm side to her as well, which comes out when she knows her audience. She is learning to longe and to use her body. Lady should be suited for most disciplines. She loves her turnout and gets along with everyone! She also stands for grooming and the farrier, and she has front shoes.
