My Right Horse Adoptable Horse of the Week: Lil’ Bit — July 6, 2020

Welcome to Horse Illustrated’s weekly installment of the My Right Horse Adoptable Horse of the Week, offered in partnership with The Right Horse. Lil’ Bit is this week’s adoptable horse. Check back weekly for a new featured horse so you can find your #righthorse.

Horse: Lil’ Bit, a 12.3-hand 3-year-old bay pony mare in Louisville, Ky.
Organization: Kentucky Humane Society

Lil’ Bit is a cute girl, standing 12.3-hands tall at 3 years old. She’s calm and has received extensive groundwork training. Lil’ Bit is not considered finished under saddle, but she seems to have a great work ethic and a great deal of sense. She doesn’t easily spook, and there is no rear, buck or bolt in her. Lil’ Bit just needs more time under saddle in order to gain experience. She has also had some work in learning to drive. We think she would be great for Pony Club, as a games pony, or a nice trail-riding pony for children (once she gains more experience) or for a small adult. Could Lil’ Bit be your Right Horse? Email the Kentucky Humane Society at horses@kyhumane.org for additional information.
