Welcome to Horse Illustrated’s weekly installment of the My Right Horse Adoptable Horse of the Week, offered in partnership with The Right Horse. Roxy is this week’s adoptable horse. Check back weekly for a new featured horse so you can find your #righthorse.
Horse: Roxy, a 15-hand 23-year-old dark bay Anglo-Arabian mare in Mojave, Cali. Organization: Love This Horse Equine Rescue
Roxy is a really nice Anglo-Arabian mare. She may be 20-plus-years-old, but she has a lot of energy and has a lot of trail riding left in her. She was a teenager’s horse for gymkhana until the teenager grew up. She rehomed Roxy to what she thought was a good home, but Roxy ended up skinny and neglected. Her original owner took her back and contacted Love This Horse Equine Rescue to help rehab Roxy. Roxy has had her teeth power-floated and has gained her weight back. She is current on her immunizations and deworming. Roxy likes to move out and loves being on the trail. Could she be your #righthorse?
