Pumpkin Carving!

The other day we got together with some of the staff from our sister publication, Hobby Farms, and had a pumpkin carving party.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with the traditional jack-o-lantern face, but using carving stencils allows the artistically-challenged (like me) easily create pumpkiny masterpieces. The going was tough at times, and more than one pumpkin-carving tool bit the dust during the process, but in the end I think we were all pretty pleased with the results.

Assistant Editor Allison and I decided to road test the new HorseChannel pumpkin carving stencils. They came out pretty well, if I do say so myself. If you want to give them a try, download the stencils and get some carving tips here. Then let us know how your pumpkin turned out!
