It’s definitely a challenge. It’s hard enough to get myself motivated to face the cold, but it’s even harder that I don’t have a ring or any lighting for riding after dark. If I don’t get out of work in time, I can’t ride. I’ve been riding bareback a lot more. It helps keep me warmer and is strengthening my legs even more! Cantering an OTTB on a windy day tends to force you into having a good seat and strong legs. LOL. So far the weather hasn’t been too hateful. I hope I can keep up as the temps drop even lower.
