The last hunter/jumper barn I was at called saddle seat riders “posers.” I took offense to that since I trained for and showed Saddlebred horses for 30+ years. I will never forget telling my riding instructor that I took a hunter/jumper lesson. She freaked out and said it would ruin me. It hasn’t ruined me, in fact I think I’m more well-rounded as a rider.
