Three-day eventingThe United States Eventing Association (USEA) is celebrating its Golden Anniversary this year at the annual convention in Reston, Virginia. The annual convention is an opportunity for three-day eventing enthusiasts to network and take part in educational seminars on various topics related to the sport.

Topics covered at this year’s convention include competing in Classic Long Format, saddle fit and other tack problems, loss of equestrian land, and planning for the World Equestrian Games. There list of presenters and panelists includes several Olympians and household names, including Karen and David O’Connor, Bruce Davidson, Phillip Dutton and Denny Emerson.

The USEA Trade Fair runs daily from 8am to 5pm.

This year’s convention will also include the fourth USEA Hall of Fame induction. The Hall of Fame recognizes humans and equines who have contributed to the sport of eventing. This year’s inductees include Bruce Davidson, David O’Connor and horses Custom Made, Good Mixture and Irish Cap. The Hall of Fame Cocktail Reception and Gala take place on Saturday evening.
