Get to Know Macho



Macho Blue, AKA Macho, retired from racing and came to ERAF through the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. Since his arrival, they have seen Macho truly blossom. Macho has completed an 8-week training class in ERAF’s Begin Again program. As his personality emerges, they are learning what a true gentleman he is. He is well mannered and enjoys engaging with people. Macho has a playful side that enjoys working through obstacles and checking out all the toys. He has learned to enjoy time on the pasture and makes horse friends easily. Macho is a team player and an all-around pleasure to work with.

Macho’s Therapy / EAS Characteristics

Arena
Alert and engaged on lead rope
Has a quick step but will slow down if asked by stopping and backing up
Enjoys playing with toys and loves the challenges of an obstacle course
He is content when he is engaged and a bit mischievous when bored
Safely accepts boundaries

Round Pen at Liberty
He needs time to adjust and he is ready to connect on his own time
Connects using the Natural Lifemanship method but not necessarily relaxed
