This article was great. I am always looking for some sort of advice or plan so to speak, on how to go about the things i know i want to do. It gave me great insight and maybee the push to know that it is okay to ask a trainer instead of sitting around waiting for someone to say they need one.Thank you so much
I would love to do this. I think it would be a very good thing to do and you can learn so much. It would be right up my ally. If it has anything to do with horses I'm in.
Thank you for this article, I'm sure there are tons of us who wish we spent our days in barns as opposed to other places. The info presented here seems very down to earth and realistic, as far as what types of opportunities there are and what to expect there. Thanks again!
Wonderful advice! I've given this same advice to Jr. High students during Career Fairs that I attend. Keep up the good work.
What great advise! Becoming an apprentice is an ideal way to discover the good, the bad and the ugly about a specific career within the equine industry.
Thank you for this article. After years of wanting a horse, i finally bought one last september and since then ive decided i want to ditch my job in construction and look for a career with horses. And luckily for me, my farrier who is awesome with horses offered to let me ride along with her, so far ive only been out with her once, but the experience was awesome even though all i did was pick hooves and set up tools. We also got to give a 2 yr old filly her first trim which was the first ive ever handled a young horse, i cant wait to go again!
This article is really good! Being an apprentice sounds like fun. (Not saying back breaking and dirty work is fun) But you also learn what needs to be done before the fun stuff. Yeah sometimes its not fun but somebody has to do it.
