  1. I love adding comments on HI Spy and i think you should consider adding more for us to respond too! LOL Great idea and cant wait to add more to the next bunch!!

  2. i show because its fun!!. its also a great learning exprerince and a great way to make new horsie friends. Also if your looking to get into college it helps with scholarships.

  3. I show becaause I love to compete and of course, love to spend time with my pony! You can learn a lot, too by watching other riders and judging a flat class or possibly speaking to the judge for tips!

  4. I like to compete because this is a big momment for me and my horse. We’ve been practicing for weeks for the competion, and when the big day comes we give it all we got. It’s also a great time for me to become closer to my horse and show everyone his talent.

  5. Hi, i’m Haley I get both YOUNG RIDER and HORSE ILLUSTRATED. Ithink thier both great magizines. I never get anything but! Seriosly, I never get anything but!

  6. I love horse channel becuse I love reading about horse happenings. I think it’s alot more interesting than the tween magazines, and websites. Horse cahnnel is the best website!

  7. All of the articles are awesome and great and fun! I am so glad you have them, because not only can you tell what you think, but you can also hear what other people think to! it’s great!

  8. The winter consequence that I dread are the hunters in the woods. We can no longer trail ride until the end of hunting season. I don’t mind the cold or even the snow, Carharts always keep you warm, but the hunters, they are a different story especially when you are on a liver chestnut horse.

  9. The winter consequence I dread is going out into the pasture to fetch my 23 year old palimino and have to lead him slowly back because of stiff cold joints and ice hanging from his hocks because we don’t have a barn and the other horses don’t let him in the herd.

  10. Gives great advice for the avid equestrian and their everday slip-ups and questions (you know you have them!)Some stories will make you laugh and HI Spy definatley makes you appreciate all things equestrian from penny pincher personalities to braiding rubber bands to bell boots and tack sponges!

  11. reading all these comments and questions makes me realize that im not the only horse crazy girl out there! there are other people with horses like mine!

  12. I love Horse Illistrated . It helps me out with all my horses and it is the best horse mag. since i got out of subscribing to young rider . I have 2 horses and 1 is with a foal . So it helps me with things that apparently I needed to know . You also give awsome training tips and thats why I subscribe .

  13. I get so excited when Horse Illustrated comes in the mail! I love reading the HI Spy, as well as English Arena and the breed profile. Actually… I just like it all!

  14. I love to spoil my horses and give them the best money can buy! …But I usually don’t have that much money in my pockets, so I usually only get them what they really need, but I try to get a decent quality. Besides, what I don’t buy for my horses, I make up with lots of time loving and grooming them!

  15. When I buy for my horses I always, always shop around for the absolute best deal. I do this with everything, from headstalls to saddles. I also try and buy good quality nylon and synthetic tack. It is much easier to wash, and usually doesn’t break as easily, not to mention it is MUCH cheaper! I also only buy what my horses need, and ask for the things I just want for Christmas!

  16. Which every horse I am riding or working with, I tell them how special he/she is. That they are my favorite, how pretty or nice they are, but not to tell the other horses. He He

  17. my favorite horse vacation would have to be going to a dude ranch. you know, getting up every morning at crack of dawn to feed the horses and watch the cattle graze in their paddocks. steak for breakfast and than saddling up an old gentle giant and mosing along the countryside all day, galloping through streams and spotting wildlife. than returning back to the ranch to a family-oriented dinner, some good laughs and maybe plan a swim or two for the next day! that’d be my perfect dream vacation!

  18. my favorite horse vacation would be going out in the country out west and roundn’up some cattle with the cowboys!

  19. If I had a choice to go on a vacation out west or to stay home for the summer I would so stay home. The reason is because I would miss my horse to much to leave him, but if I could I would go to where ever the next summer olympic games would be so I could watch the greatest horseback riders!

  20. My favorite horse vacation would be taking a long ride on the beach. I wouldn’t be able to trailer my horse all the way out to California but I could always rent a horse to ride!

  21. Here’s a question I wish to be answered: How do you enter in an HI Spy question so you can try and be in Horse Illustrated? Does anyone know how? Or is it all guess? Thanks in advance!
