Equestrians from across the country are trotting up to join the October 19 National Rescue Ride to help raise funds and awareness for unwanted, neglected and abused horses in the United States.
The National Rescue Ride is the day when horse lovers join in a rideathon/walkathon in their own areas to raise money for their local equine rescue facilities. Participants choose the facilities they wish to support, although some individual charities have already started setting up rides in their areas. Fifty charities from more than 40 states have answered the call to help raise funds and awareness for this country’s unwanted horses.
Start planning now to make a difference. Charities, riders and walkers can still register and sign on as beneficiaries or participants. In addition to receiving a T-shirt, riders/ walkers are eligible for prizes for raising the most funds as individuals or in clubs. All funds raised at the event go directly to the registered organization the walkers/riders have chosen.
