It is hard to get your horses/pet use to sites, sounds, and noises, if they only hear them once or twice a year. Lucky, we do not have fireworks displays close to our farm.
my babies are allowed to be in the big pasture where they can run if they feel threatned more worried about 12 yr old dog handling the racket
I'm glad none of my critters are afraid of loud noises. Well, except for the peacocks but not much I can do about them. And their own loud noises!
My horses will be in their stalls with all the lights on. That way, when the sky lights up from the neighbors fireworks it won't be such a shock. I will also be on hand to check on them.
For the noise, get some horse earplugs (I have the pompom sort), put them in place, and pull a fly bonnet over the ears. I'm hoping that works this evening. Unfortunately, my town ship held its display last night, the 3rd. urgh.
