Most children ask for the latest toy or video game for their birthday. For 8-year-old Hayden Ratliff, all she wanted was her horse, Big John, back. The horse was stolen the weekend of her birthday, in the middle of the night. Take a look at the report by Fox31:

As shown in the video, Brad Ratliff, Hayden’s father, said, “It wasn’t just a crime of opportunity.” An image of a cut fence was also shown.

However, on Monday, a woman contacted the Ratliffs to let them know she saw a horse in a nearby field that looked like Big John, Fox31 reports. When they checked out the field, which was 15 miles from the Ratliff home, Big John was indeed there. Fox31 reports that the Ratliff family met with police, who believe that the thief or thieves dumped the horse there out of fear of getting caught.

Luckily, Hayden got her birthday wish.
