USEF Names Pan Am Jumping Team

No, it’s not the Olympics. And it doesn’t get quite the media fanfare as the World Equestrian Games. Nonetheless, the Pan American Games offer outstanding international competition for equestrians, and this year’s contest in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, promises to keep that tradition going. Pending approval of the United States Olympic Committee, the USEF has announced the horse and rider combinations that will make up the show jumping squad representing the United States for the stellar event, held July 13-29. The American squad will be Lauren Hough aboard the Dutch Warmblood mare Casadora, Cara Reather riding a stallion named Ublesco, Todd Minikus on a Dutch Warmblood gelding named Pavarotti and Laura Chapot and another Dutch gelding, Little Big Man.
