Stacy WestfallStacy Westfall is currently one of the biggest stars on the reining circuit and is highly in-demand for clinics and demos. She skyrocketed to fame when this video of her winning ride at the 2006 NRHA Futurity went viral. Many people outside of the horse world learned about Westfall and the sport of reining when she and her mare Roxy made an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’s talk show in 2008.

  1. I have watched this video clip several times and each time I cry… This is a perfict text book example of true horsemanship at it’s best! Most definately trust and true love between the two of them.

  2. I wish i could do that with Scout! She’s awesome!!!! The only thing I don’t like is it looks like a Tennsee Walker Baron that we had to put down that i loved very much and he would prob do that if i asked him to.

  3. I think she looks great out there on Baby Doll. It makes me want to get out there and work on my Paint a little, just for the fun. I truly believe she started out doing this for the pure joy of playing with her horse.

  12. I was so moved by the obvious skill of Stacy and the deep connection with Roxy that was clearly evident in such a spectacular bareback and bridleless ride. She absolutely should be revered for her obvious understanding of horses and how to work with them and her exceptional skill as a rider. Kudos to her and Roxy for a truly amazing display of closeness between horse and rider. I will continue to follow her and am saddened by the loss of such a talented and beautiful horse.

  14. SOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!! It makes me cry EVERY TIME I watch it. Stacy and Roxy were AMAZING! I only wish my horse and I could be half as good as they were together. RIP Roxy.

  17. my grand daughter turn 16 today.. she has been doing shows since she was 10.. Emily has watched your videos and her class is tenderfoot if that is correct. Well Yesterday she tried reigning for the first time. with only maybe an one hour of practice. she did okay no win. but I know she wants to become as good as you and Emily does not quit.. I have watch your video several times in fact I have e mailed her information on some training. you are Great.
