READER’S CHOICE FEMALE TRAILBLAZER CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES

Sponsor/Entry Period: Enter between 2/3/21 and 3/1/21 (“Entry Period”).

Sponsor: EG Media Investments LLC, 4635 McEwen Road, Dallas, TX 75244.

Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and D.C., over 18 years of age at the time of entry. Employees of Sponsor are not eligible to enter.

How to Enter: Submit the reason you nominate your Female Trailblazer (“Theme”) and your name, your postal address and phone number (collectively, Entry(ies)”) and enter by filling in the form at www.horseillustrated.com/female-trailblazers (“Entries”). 1 Entry per person. To be eligible, Entries must be received by 3/1/21.

Requirements of Entry: Your Entry must be original and not copied from any other copyrighted work and your Entry should not contain any prominent use of any third-party trademarks, trade names, brands or logos or otherwise violate the rights of any third party.

Grant of License: By entering, you (“Entrant”) grant Sponsor the perpetual, fully-paid, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to reproduce, distribute, license, display, or otherwise use throughout the world your Entry in any manner for any purpose, including advertising for Sponsor or others without further consent or payment to you or any other person or entity. Entrant will hold Released Parties harmless from any claim by any third party relating to any rights in your Entry.

Winner Selection: All Entries will be judged by Sponsor based on the following (1) quality of the entry submitted (2) potential appeal to readers (3) originality (4) adherence to the Theme (“Judging Criteria”). In the event of a tie, the tying Entries will be re-judged based on quality of optional photo submitted. Entries with the top scores will be selected as the winners.

Winner Notification: Potential winners will be notified on or about 3/15/21 via email address, phone number and/or postal address provided at Entry. If an entrant is otherwise found to be ineligible, or if the potential winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason, the potential winner will forfeit the prize and the next runner up will be selected. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use each winner’s name, city and state, province or country where winner is located and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation.

Prizes: The prize to be awarded to the winners is a one-year subscription or subscription extension to Horse Illustrated magazine (approximate retail value ((“ARV”): $21.95). No substitution or cash equivalent permitted, except by Sponsor. Prize is non-transferrable.

Conditions: Entrants agree to the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Entrants release, defend and hold harmless Sponsor, and Reeves International (“Released Parties”), from any and all liability whatsoever against Released Parties arising out of Entrant’s participation or use of a prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Contest or the announcement of any prize or in the event Sponsor is prevented from continuing the Contest by any event beyond its control. Entries that have been tampered with, altered or generated by an automated device are void. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible entries or delay, error or interruption in transmission of entries. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry or terminate the Contest if it becomes technically corrupted and/or select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to termination. If there are not enough qualified entries to qualify, Sponsor reserves the right to not award the prize. In the event of any complaint alleging a violation of any third-party right relating to an Entry, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify the Entry. By participating, Entrant acknowledges that Sponsor does not waive any rights to use similar or related ideas that might be contained in an Entry. Sponsor does not make, nor is in any manner responsible for any warranty, representation, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative the quality, conditions, fitness or merchantability of any aspect of the prize. Void where prohibited by law. Any and all claims in connection with the Contest must be brought in a court within the State of Texas and all disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of Texas and shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. BY PARTICIPATING, ENTRANT HEREBY WAIVES ANY RIGHTS OR CLAIMS TO ATTORNEY’S FEES, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ENTRANT, WHETHER FORESEEABLE OR NOT AND WHETHER BASED ON NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE.

Winner’s list: For the names of the winners, mail a self-addressed envelope to Sponsor at: Horse Illustrated Magazine, P.O. Box 3945, Laguna Hills CA 92654 no later than 4/1/21.
