On Oct. 31, 2014, Bartlett Milling Company of North Carolina issued a recall alert on some bags of horse feed distributed in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

The feed may be contaminated with Rumensin, a feed supplement for cattle that can cause health problems or death in horses.

Products being recalled are:

  • 50 lb. bags of Bartlett Pasture Horse 10 Feed – Lot 288
  • 50 lb. bags of Cleveland Carolina Champion Horse Feed – Lot 288

Recalled bags of feed should be returned to the retailer.

    This needs to be put on the news .There are plenty of people I know who buy this feed here in my state and not all of them have a computer or laptop to peruse the internet
